Thermography is also known as “Raised Printing”. Immediately after the image is layed onto paper we apply a resin powder. The resin adheres to the image because the ink is wet. We vacuum the powder residue and then heat the sheet in an oven. The clear resin melts and forms a lens over the ink resulting in a tactile, raised image. The lens tends to darken ink colors slightly. Thermography adds tremendous value to one’s image on paper. Thermography is available on any ink color including 4 color process.
